The Medical Engineering team are looking to appoint a Medical Device Training Co-ordinator to lead on supporting the North Manchester General Hospital training systems. This is a permanent position with development opportunities to allow the successful candidate to develop their leadership skills, while leading and co-ordinating site based activities

You will be responsible for:
  • Day to day administration and set up of the training database (eQuip)
  • Support Ward Managers, professional users and trainers in their operation of the system.
  • Manage staff lists, records and competencies.
  • Liaising with suppliers to provide training for new equipment
  • Identify equipment with potential risk to patients and act as a point of training expertise.
  • Be responsible for monitoring access to training and accuracy of assessment records.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Specialist knowledge of medical devices, their use and application in order to make decisions on training and competency
  • Detailed knowledge of computer systems, using Microsoft office applications for spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Detailed knowledge using training management systems for controlling training records
  • Be highly motivated, organised with a flexible working approach to rapidly changing situations and demands as they occur.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff and customers. Able to interpret and communicate highly detailed training information to staff at all levels from junior to senior management or consultant level.
  • Have experience in leading complex activities, teams and staff
