We are looking for a fully qualified Clinical Photographer, with a minimum of two years on-the-job experience within a hospital environment.

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is one of the largest acute Trusts in the UK, employing over 20,000 staff. We are responsible for running a family of nine hospitals across six separate sites, providing a wide range of services from comprehensive local general hospital care through to highly specialised regional and national services.

Our Clinical Photography & Medical Illustration Services whose central hubs are based at Oxford Road and Wythenhsawe, is an 8 hour ‘on demand service’ supporting numerous clinical and non-clinical teams across the MFT. The department consists of Clinical Photographers, Medical Artists/Graphic Designers and Clinical Videographers. We are a multi-award-winning service and one of the oldest departments of the kind in the UK. The Clinical Photographers work in the various clinical areas and locations therefore often the first point of contact for patients therefore an excellent telephone manner and active listening skills are essential. The ability to communicate effectively with not only patients but also carers, visitors and healthcare/clinical staff of all grades, another important part of the post as is liaising with law enforcement agencies and other legal entities. Competent computer skills are necessary as there will be postproduction involved on industry standard software but full training for the whole range of duties is provided.
