Position: Mechatronics Design Engineer

Location: Plymouth, UK

Monday to Thursday 8:00 - 16:30 Friday 8:00 - 15:30

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechatronics Design Engineer to join our team in Plymouth. As a leader in the engineering industry, we specialize in electrical, electronic and IT markets. In this role, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge low voltage DC power distribution systems and conducting thermal and mechanical simulations to ensure optimal functionality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop low voltage DC power distribution systems for various industries.
  • Conduct thermal and mechanical simulations to analyse and optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Oversee the development and testing of prototypes, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Utilize your expertise in mechatronics engineering to drive innovation and incorporate new technologies into designs.
  • Act as a technical resource for cross-functional teams and offer support and guidance as needed.

Qualifications

  • Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in mechatronics engineering.
  • Expertise in low voltage DC power distribution systems.
  • Proficient in conducting thermal and mechanical simulations.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
