Assist in the manufacture of bespoke systems used in Water/Steam sampling industry by assembling pipework and other assemblies to relevant schematics and general assembly drawings. 2 year Hsinta project placement. This position reports directly to the Team Leader Contracts (Hsinta Project).

Your responsibilities

  • Stainless steel manual tube bending [ fractional sizes ¼” through ½” ].
  • Cut and thread nominal bore pipework in both carbon steel and stainless steel using threading machine’s [ sizes ½” N.B through 3” N.B].
  • Performance of area housekeeping activities, including the prompt reporting of problems, or equipment breakdowns.
  • Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and health and safety awareness.
  • Ensure manufacturing build, inspection and where relevant, test times are met.
  • Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycle.
  • Maintain safe working area and practices, ensuring health & safety is paramount at all times.

Your background

  • Experience of mechanical system integration.
  • Able to follow and understand engineering drawings, schematics and mechanical parts and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Knowledge of twin ferrule A-loc compression fittings used in the assembly of high pressure steam sampling systems.
  • Competent in stainless steel manual tube bending [ fractional sizes ¼” through ½” ]
  • Team working.
  • Use of Cranes and heavy lifting equipment.
  • SAP knowledge - desirable.
  • Use of Cranes and lifting equipment - desirable.
