Job Title:Manufacturing Project Design Engineer
Location:Caerphilly Work Pattern:Days
Salary:Up to £40,000+ Benefits The Manufacturing Project Design Engineer is responsible for project leadership of new product lines, development of new manufacturing technology in support of new product lines or major improvements in existing product lines. Actively supports and/or implements continuous improvement philosophies and techniques (e.g. lean enterprise, six sigma). Principle accountabilities of the role but not limited to :- Develop and Implement New Manufacturing Processes. Develop and successfully implement new manufacturing processes and technology in support of strategic objectives to cover efficiency, energy, sustainability, health and safety and quality. Maximize Operations Production and Efficiency.Implement/modify manufacturing processes to fulfill business needs. Upgrade Material and Equipment. Preparation of financial analysis for capital expenditures for tooling and equipment needed in support of existing product lines or processes. Monitor and control all phases of new equipment construction from design approval through to implementation. Collaborate with Other Departments. Interface between engineering and production to ensure designs are acceptable for manufacturing, equipment is designed in accordance with the designs presented and the equipment will work with the equipment we currently have. Strong Team Player and Contributor. Able to work well with colleagues and produce results within a fast-paced and high pressure atmosphere. Manage Health & Safety activity within the team and to ensure legislative and policy compliance is met for all company facilities. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate and evident the following knowledge, skills and competencies :- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably manufacturing biased. We require excellent communication, teamworking and leadership skills. Previous experience and evidence of delivering complex projects would be advantageous. Are you trained in Lean techniques and able to demonstrate its application? You must be IT proficient in - AutoCAD, MS Office and Project Management tools.
