Looking for a mechanically biased Maintenance Technicianto work for a large Facilities Management company within the UK based at one of their prestigious clients’ site in Newcastle. You will be responsible for all M&E maintenance within the plant room.

Shift patterns: 12-hour shifts, 2 nights, 2 days followed by 4 days off

Salary: £31,000 inclusive of shift allowance depending on shift pattern.

Location: Newcastle

The Role:

  • Ensure that all day-to-day planned preventative maintenance activities of Mechanical and Electrical maintenance are complete.
  • Responsible for maintenance in accordance with the O&M manuals and best practice of Pumps, Valves, Flanges, Boilers, Chillers, Compressors etc.
  • Assist in supervising subcontractors and monitor SSOW, policies and procedures.
  • Respond to all reactive calls, complete job sheets, reports and documentation as required.
  • Keep all plant/rooms / services enclosures clean, tidy safe and secure.

The Successful candidate:

  • Previous experience ofmechanical and or multi-disciplined building maintenance -must have worked in large plant rooms previously.
  • Must have experience and competence in relevant Health & Safety legislation
  • Capable of acting under own initiative
  • 17th or 18th Edition would be advantageous
