Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Fabrication, Welding

Newton Abbot

£32,000 Per Annum + Training + Overtime

I am working with a specialist business with a wide range of engineering operations including: manufacturing, design, service, installation and supply. We are a looking for a Mechanical Engineer with maintenance and installation experience – it would be desirable if you also have Fabrication Experience – though this is not essential.

This would suit an Engineer who has experience in Mechanical Machinery Maintenance and Installation – Those with a strong understanding of fluid power would be very well suited – but full training here will be provided.

Full training and support will be provided to assist in new areas – we are asking for a track record in engineering problem solving and a willingness to learn new skills.

This position will be predominantly workshop based – but there will be opportunities to get involved in on site installation and service with clients.

Despite the challenges most business face at the moment, the company is busy as ever and this is a fast moving and challenging position that will suit engineers who want to learn new skills and be kept on their toes.

Duties

  • Being a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
  • Service, manufacture, maintenance and installation
  • Assorted fabrication tasks – Welding

Education & Experience

  • Experience as a Mechanical Engineer – Machinery Maintenance and Installation
  • Ideally - Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (Although qualified by experience will be considered)
  • Fabrication experience desirable

Working Hours: Mon – Friday 8:30AM – 5PM

Plenty of Overtime is available at Time and Half.
