Mechanical Fitter (Training and Upskilling provided)

Job location:Crewe, Cheshire

Hourly pay rate: £14.67 PAYE / £18.47 Umbrella (Training rate for first approx. 6 weeks) £16.67 PAYE / £21.08 Umbrella (Post training)

Shifts:Mon-Fri 8am 4.30pm (with flexibility to work shifts)
Mornings: 6am -2pm £18.01 PAYE £22.82 Umbrella
Afternoons: 2pm – 10pm £19.34 PAYE £24.56 Umbrella
Hours per week: 37
Duration: Ongoing

TRANSITION YOUR CAREER INTO THE RAIL INDUSTRY

Position overview:Completing Mechanical Overhaul of Rail Bogies.

Candidates will be required to carry out the following duties:

  • Bogie overhaul, damage repair and engineering
  • Wheel set overhaul, repair and analysis
  • Bogie and gearbox engineering / repair
  • Wheel exchange on wheel sets
  • Components and sub-assemblies overhaul repair and analysis
  • Heavy mechanical fitting to safety critical standards

You must have!

  • Mechanical Knowledge
  • Minimum 2 years Hand Tool Experience
