We’re looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Anglian Water team based in Lincoln


Location: Lincoln

Contract: Permanent, full time


What will you be responsible for?

As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll be working within the Anglian Water team, supporting them in the maintenance works for the water recycling assets. The works will be planned, demand driven and reactive mechanical equipment. Responsible for ensuring the correct Health & Safety, Environment and Quality procurement and administration procedures are followed on every job, including date information required for key performance indicators.

Your day to day will include:

  • Repair and install mechanical equipment on various assets types and locations across the AW region, often in challenging conditions
  • Be expected to produce high quality work, working with electricians, instrumentation technicians and operational staff
  • Be able to swiftly and comprehensively fault-find, rectify problems on mechanical equipment including sewage pumps and valves and associated pipe work, air blowers, wastewater inlet screens, storm water screens, biological filter equipment, tanks, tank bridges, conveyor systems & fabrication structures
  • Identify problematic plant and the subsequent faults including root cause and to take part in finding efficient solutions to return equipment to working order
  • Provide knowledge, information and on-site support to staff

What are we looking for?

This role of Mechanical Fitter is great for you if you hold:

  • Experience within a similar role in the water industry, with the ability to read, understand and work from technical drawings
  • CSCS card and full driving licence
