Role: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Sunderland Office

Duration: Permanent Staff Role

The role is to undertake work packages for nuclear, marine and O&G clients from our Sunderland office with Hybrid working also.

The Role:

You will be taking the lead on assigned project tasks and allowing others to lead as appropriate, so you’ll need to be a good communicator; providing feedback of technical development and project delivery to the Lead Engineer and the Project Manager. Also you’ll have the ability to provide technical guidance to other team members especially junior or graduate engineers.

You’ll have the ability to manage your own time and deliver within agreed timescales, target cost, quality standards, requiring minimum supervsion.

Profil

Mechanical Engineer

Your background:

With a BEng qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) you will have design engineering experience in a highly regulated area

Having working level experience of the European standards is desirable, for example Eurocode 3.

You will be familiar with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and/or Catia CAD software. (Training can be provided) and also know FEA and preferably a user level experience of ANSYS Workbench and Spaceclaim.

You will have an appreciation for mechanical and structural engineering togethr with a strong mathematical background and experience of MathCAD software is desirable.

You’ll need to have an appreciation for the engineering design cycle of mechanical designs from Concept through to Manufacture and be responsible for the production of mechanical and structural engineering calculations, FEA, CAD and drawings.
