Mechanical Draughtsperson (2D or 3D)

Process equipment manufacturer – Burton Upon Trent

PAYE - £20-£30 per hour + Holiday Pay

Umbrella - £25-£35 per hour

3-month contract with possible extensions.

This well-established process manufacturer is the market leader in its sector and following some significant project wins, they are going through a rapid growth phase. The design team are now starting to work on several new projects for their major clients, workload has increased and there is a real need to maintain the quality of product that it delivers. As a result, this company needs to recruit a Mechanical Draughtsperson to help with a conversion project immediately on a contract basis. The Role Of a Mechanical Draughtsperson Will Involve
  • Mechanical draughting in 2D and 3D on AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor
  • All pre-engineering is done, solely responsible for producing 2D &3D layout drawings
  • Working from the preliminary P&IDs, the draughtsperson will need to make changes to existing drawings on a previous project
  • Producing 3D modelling of nozzles for vessels, some civil models may need to be drawn up as well
  • Produce Bills of Material in conjunction with the drawings
  • Liaise with internal & external teams
The Mechanical Draughtsperson will need to have the following experience:
  • Mechanical Draughtsperson with AutoCAD experience
  • 2D and 3D detailing experience
  • Experience completing plant layout
  • Capability to make modifications to P&IDs
  • Creative ability and hardworking
