Location:Telford, Shropshire

ATA Search is working for a leading aluminium manufacturing business based across multiple sites throughout the UK. With the flagship site based in Shropshire, this business is experiencing a rapid phase of growth and as a result, they are looking to recruit an experienced Aluminium Manufacturing Manager or related experience such in operations, plant or production to join the team.

Key Accountabilities
  • To ensure the aluminium manufacturing operations department exceeds operational performances
  • Manage and lead a team of Operators and Technicians ensuring H&S across the plant
  • Lead all activities related to operations management, materials, people and processes
  • To be an expert on all aluminium related topics including Qualicoat and BS EN 755
  • To effectively lead, coach, develop and manage the team including the recruitment and performance of all staff
  • Resource planning, production planning, scheduling and managing product quality
  • Enforce a continuous improvement culture and H&S initiatives
  • Budget control – materials, labour and operations
  • Ensure operational KPIs are achieved and exceeded – materials, flow, efficiency, waste, output, cost and quality
  • Reporting every week to the senior leadership team on the performance of your plant
Requirements
  • An experienced Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, Plant Manager, Production Manager or related role
  • Experienced in developing people and teams
  • An expert in aluminium manufacturing and processes such as aluminium extrusion or aluminium forming
  • Experienced in working to Qualicoat and or BS EN 755 standards
  • A suitable engineering or aluminium qualification is highly desirable
  • Ideally, a strong background is a continuous improvement, lean and HS&
  • Excellent IT and written/verbal communication skills
