JFN are always looking for experienced Mechanical Design Engineers at various levels to join their team with opportunities in their offices near Egremont on a permanent basis.

Our Mechanical Designer Engineers have responsibility for undertaking Design Tasks, Project Management Interaction, Tendering Tasks, Quality Compliance, Health & Safety, and Continual Improvement.

As a member of our Mechanical Engineering Team you will have responsibility for a variety of diverse projects or activities ranging in both size and complexity. In addition you will have a sound appreciation of manufacturing, assembly and test techniques, you must have a high level of commercial awareness, sufficient technical knowledge and understanding of the industry to be able to technically lead a team, shape the outcome of a project and encourage and assist others in the delivery of that project. Experience in the Nuclear or other highly regulated industry is preferred.

You must have the ability to manage your own workload, make prioritisation decisions on work and self-manage to deliver tasks. You will read, understand and shape new procedures and standards, be proficient in the production of standard design deliverables, be an experienced user of relevant design tools, techniques and methods and conversant with legislation and regulations applicable to their role and the projects they are working on
