Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Fitter

Job Type: Contract

Hourly rate: £15.00 per hour (Umbrella) + O/T Rates

Duration: 3-6 months

Location: Bristol

About the Opportunity:
Mechanical Assembly Fitters required for a manufacturing company based in Bristol. The company manufactures special purpose machinery for the FMCG industry.
As a Mechanical Assembly Fitter, you will be working in a busy manufacturing shop floor building special purpose machinery. Your duties will also include, precision & general fitting work, marking out, drilling, tapping coupled with small sub assembly work. Previous machine build experience is essential for this role. You must be able to read and understand engineering assembly drawings and instructions.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in precision build of special purpose machinery
  • Detail precision fitting & assembly
  • Ability to work to tight very tight tolerances
  • A good understating of machine system build is essential
  • Must be able to read engineering drawings and schematics
  • Marking out, drilling, tapping & general fitting work

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Apprenticeship
  • Engineering Craftsman Certificates
  • HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering
  • City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering
  • Any other relevant engineering qualifications
