KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To build mechanical/optical/electrical assemblies according to engineering drawings.
  • Test built instruments using a range of equipment including spectrometers to meet the customers’ requirements.
  • Work to production schedule and ensure timely delivery of customer orders.
  • Support the Cell Team Leaders to achieve required delivery dates and output.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Communicate regularly with the Cell Team Leader on the progress of jobs.
  • Always adherence to manufacturing documentation, quality system and general operating procedures.
  • Engage and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • To carry out any other duties that may be required from time to time.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

· At least five years experience within a similar environment.

· To read and understand assembly and electrical drawings.

· A high level of personal motivation and discipline.

· A willingness to learn and develop.

· Flexible and willing to move around production area.

· A knowledge of electrical and mechanical components.

· Soldering and wiring skills.

· Experienced in using a wide variety of hand and power tools.

· Able to work within a team environment.

· Able to carry out light carrying and lifting duties.

· Comply with health & safety and environmental policies and procedures.
