I am recruiting an experienced Materials Handler for a market leading structural steel manufacturing client based in the Leeds area who due to continued growth and continued success are looking to recruit an additional Materials Handler on their day shift

This is a genuine full-time permanent position offering a basic salary of £26,000 per annum plus additional overtime is available, Great commute form York, Leeds,Malton and all surrounding areas and the standard hours offer a 4 day working week Monday - Thursday

As the Materials Handler you will be responsible for
  • Ensure all incoming material is off loaded, sorted and stored according to Production schedules
  • Ensure correct lifting and slinging methods are always adhered to
  • Ensure all materials are moved through the site adhering to all health and safety policies
  • Ensure all goods outward are loaded in a safe and efficient manner
  • Carry out trailer inspections reporting any anomalies
To be considered for the Materials Handler role you will,
  • Previously worked in a structural steel environment
  • Experience using overhead cranes or Slinger Banksman certificates
  • Ideally previously have used magnetic overhead cranes
  • Ideally have a Side loader FLT license
  • Ideally have a valid Counter Balance FLT license
  • Shunter license desirable but not essential
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety
  • First Aid Certificates and Fire Warden certificates desirable but not essential
