As a Material Controller you will control the supply of manufactured and purchased items in a timeframe that supports the Master Production Schedule (MPS), ensuring that all material in the supply chain is at an appropriate build standard. This is maintained within SAP where you expedite internal make items to ensure compliance to plan. Output is monitored from the SAP plan and report on non- compliance. You will be involved in the raising of Manufacturing Works Orders in order to maintain accurate data within SAP.

What you will do

Your main responsibilities as a Material Controller will involve
  • Interface with Manufacturing & Supply Chain and Procurement to facilitate progress to completion of WIP or delivery of materials in accordance with required schedule
  • Control customer returns and engage with internal stakeholders
  • Review, release and manage internal work orders in line with the plan
  • Control of Return to Vendor material from shop floor to logistics
  • Delivery of kits to and from the shop floor
  • Manage shop floor rework orders
  • Ensure the correct material at the correct build standard is available on the shop floor when required
  • Complete scrap tickets on a regular basis
  • Support the monthly WIP Counts
