In the same way that we pride ourselves on building communities, not just houses, we work closely as teams, rather than just individuals. Our Masterplanner will work with teams in our Group Design and Technical Department as well as our Regional Design and Technical Teams. Liaison with other disciplines, including Sales and Marketing, Group Procurement and IT, is key to performance in this crucial senior role.

The successful candidate will have outstanding design skills, and produce hand drawn and finished planning layouts, following discussion and briefing from all relevant stakeholders. Presentation skills and handling of queries must be excellent, while promoting Bloor Homes brand of urban design to internal and external parties. Previous experience in this or a similar role in residential housing developments is essential, as are HNC/D-level qualifications and a full UK driving licence. You must be a first class communicator, people and project manager and all-round teamworker.

Main Duties
  • Design both hand drawn viability layouts and AutoCAD planning layouts to the highest standard that are commercially viable and are in accordance with the companies design requirements
  • Work Closely with regional teams to agree design briefs and layouts
  • Promote Bloor Homes Brand of urban design to external influencers
  • Handling queries when they arise.
  • Attending meetings that may be necessary in the performance of your duties
  • Complying with and uphold company policies and procedures.
  • Undertaking any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time.
Essential Skills/ Qualifications
  • Design hand drawn feasibility layouts
  • Use of AutoCAD
  • Possess high levels or presentation skills, both verbal and visual
  • Good communicator and influencer
  • Educated to HNC/D standard or higher
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Previous experience producing residential housing developments
