Role Overview

This role will be based out of our Basingstoke office, with remote working flexibility, as part of our B2B Channel Marketing Team.

We are looking for someone who is a natural at building strong relationships and has a great understanding & passion for B2B marketing. The role works closely with our sales and commercial functions, as well as our Digital Marketing team and in-house design studio, to build best in class marketing campaigns for some of the world’s leading technology brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the commercial and sales teams to understand the business plan for the technology area. What market trends are impacting the industry, and what solutions and value-added services Exertis offer to support the customer
  • Elevate our brand portfolio through building innovative marketing campaigns that are created with the customer in mind – what do our customers need and how are we going to catch their eye to show we have the solution?
  • Experienced in project management ensuring balanced delivery of campaign execution of multiple brand campaigns running concurrently.
  • Be comfortable in negotiating incremental investment from our brand partners as well as supplier pricing to ensure the best outcome for the business
  • Strong financial background and drive to succeed in order to manage multiple brand budgets whilst striving to deliver against a GP target and ROI metrics
  • Clear understanding of the full marketing mix and how to maximise ROI. From digital to events and print to video this role has the opportunity to work across the full range of vehicles.
  • Talent development – the role will have line manager duties in the form of marketing executives. We have a proud heritage in developing people through their careers, so identifying talent & nurturing is a key part of the manager role

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Marketing or related studies) or equivalent
  • Previous channel marketing, sales or agency experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills
  • Great organisation with ability to balance tactical work with strategic thinking
  • Self-starter and driven to deliver results directly and through influence of others
  • Collaborative and strong team player
  • Creativity in both the design and implementation of programs and plans
  • Good networking skills – internally and externally
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities, and sustain a high level of energy & concentration in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Capacity/courage to challenge the status quo
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Line manager experience
