Organisational Information

MidKent College is at the heart of the education sector in South East England, and a College which Ofsted recognised as Good for overall effectiveness, in a November 2018 inspection.

As a progressive student-centred College, we are now looking for a Marketing Manager.

If you are passionate about education, and can inspire those around you, we’d love to hear from you.

Details of the role

We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to be the driving force behind our student recruitment initiatives. Combining a passion for the education sector with exceptional marketing expertise, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing strategies that elevate our brand, reach key audiences, and attract students from a range of backgrounds.

Your creativity, innovation, analytical skills and forensic campaign planning will be instrumental in impacting the lives of young people, adults and businesses in our key communities of Maidstone and Medway.

Job Requirements

You’ll need:
A deep-rooted passion for education and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of our students.

A proven track record in designing and delivering successful marketing campaigns, with experience in the education sector desirable.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Creative thinking to approach challenges with fresh ideas and innovative solutions.

An ability to analyse data, draw insights, and translate them into marketing activity.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive and compelling content and to spot a typo at 20 paces.

This is a full time role, working 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Interview date to be confirmed.

Commitment to Safeguarding

We are committed to the safeguarding of all our students and staff. This means everyone who works here is required to actively protect them from preventable harm. Our recruitment and selection process includes background checks which will be undertaken on the successful applicant, including an enhanced DBS, and in your application you are required to demonstrate how you meet the Colleges requirements on safeguarding.

The background checks will be carried-out in accordance with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Code of Practice. The DBS helps employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children. We operate in accordance with the DBS Code of Conduct and Privacy Policy. You can access both of these documents at www.midkent.ac.uk/jobs/college-vacancies

Commitment to Equal Opportunities

As a proud user of the disability confident scheme the College is committed to equal opportunities and celebrates the diversity of staff and students. As part of our commitment to the scheme, we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for a vacancy.

We welcome applications from anyone wishing to work flexibly and those considering a return to work from a career break.
