Salary: £21,882.34 to £23,714.03 depending on experience

Nelson and Colne College Group is made up of a family of colleges – Nelson and Colne College, Lancashire Adult Learning and Accrington and Rossendale College. Together the Group forms a Sixth Form, Skills and Technology Centre, University Centre, employer training and adult learning provider.

The College Group is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Executive to support recruitment and communications delivery.

The successful candidate will have experience of multi-channel marketing and be an excellent content writer and communicator. They will be strong creatively as well as highly organised with a flexible, responsive and solution-focused attitude. Working within our marketing team, you will be a great team player, proactively sharing ideas and best practice. You will be passionate about brand and messaging and improving the customer experience.

With a wide portfolio of promotional materials, publications and campaign examples you will be confident developing content for both online and off-line purposes. You will have good social media and digital knowledge and be able to drive online engagement and user experience. As part of the broader marketing team you will play a key role in events and will have experience of driving visitor numbers and ensuring a positive event experience. You will be a confident link person for our cross-college teams, delivering marketing solutions that see results!

This role will be based at our Nelson and Colne College site however, travel across sites may be required.

The main duties include:

  • Deliver targeted and creative multichannel marketing campaigns to drive learner recruitment, support learner experience and/or push traffic to events, evaluating and communicating campaign success.
  • Develop engaging communications for different audience groups, in line brand messaging and communication objectives.
  • Coordinate the production of key materials and publications to promote our offer and brand.
  • Collate content for a wide range of print and digital assets and providing detailed creative briefs to our in-house design team/external agencies.
  • Coordinate the production of key video projects as required, ensuring clear creative briefs with timely scheduling and production and effective distribution of video content for maximum engagement.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree Level Qualification in a relevant subject
  • Professional qualification in Marketing (CIM), or working towards
  • Relevant experience coordinating successful multi-channel marketing campaigns for different audience groups
  • Experience coordinating the production of a broad range of materials to include publications, with a supporting portfolio of examples
  • A broad understanding of digital marketing to include social media and digital advertising
