Responsible for executing much of our marketing activity – from onboarding communications and collateral to in-life communications and engagement (newsletters, social, nurture programmes RM events), advocacy and renewal communications.

What does the job entail?

The Marketing Executive (Retention) is responsible for ensuring our customers receive a consistent and value-added experience in the form of the communication materials that they receive through their journey with RM, across all parts of the business (schools and assessment bodies), across multiple (but predominately digital) channels.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Creating and executing onboarding communications and collateral, including Welcome Packs
  • Creating and executing in-life communications and engagement, including newsletters, social and nurture programmes
  • Supporting RM events (physical seminars and virtual webinars), including supporting with targeting and follow-up engagement
  • Supporting customer advocacy activities, including management of the reference site, testimonial, and Case Study database and administrative support of the referral programme
  • Executing account renewal communications, in association with Account Managers and other customer-facing account colleagues
  • Working within established Business Case and Review processes to demonstrate the delivery of KPIs, sharing lessons learnt after an activity, with regular communication throughout
  • Capturing, articulating and meeting agreed requirements and success criteria for each marketing activity
  • Effective collaborative working with fellow marketers to plan campaigns effectivity and to share best practice and coordinate go-to-market activities that make sense to customers, maximise upselling, and are an efficient use of resources
  • What are we looking for?

    • Marketing campaign development: developing and specifying specific marketing activities, such as direct mail, email campaigns, telesales activities, digital marketing (PPC/SEO) etc.
    • Customer insight: working with qualitative and quantitative data to create marketing activity that addresses customer needs
    • Reporting: comfortable analysing marketing activities to understand what worked (and what didn’t) and why
    • Collaboration and understanding: ability to work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders (inside and outside RM) to understand their needs, and to develop strong networks with all
    • Communication and influencing: professional, presentable, dependable and self-motivated. Excellent interpersonal and team working skills.
    • Planning and organisation: a thorough understanding of what is involved in developing a marketing plan – managing tasks simultaneously, accurately and according to priority
    • B2B experience: whilst a background in the Education or Technology sectors is not a pre-requisite, a good understanding of using content and digital marketing as part of a B2B marketing funnel is essential, from brand awareness to customer engagement through to lifecycle management
    • Driven: being brave in making sound recommendations based on fact and experience, with a focus on tangible results-orientated outcomes
    • Tenacious and self-motivated: someone who is curious, yet disciplined; who seeks to contribute within the wider team; someone who is tenacious and looks for alternatives
