Abbott’s Electrophysiologybusiness is recruiting for a Marketing & Education Manager for North Europe. Responsible for leading the EP marketing organization across the region (UK, Ireland, Nordics & Baltics)to deliver both development and implementation of all marketing strategies and programs to meet the business’ short and long term objectives and building profitability to achieve the Region’s Operating Plan targets.What You’ll Do
  • Develop and deliver strategic programs for the effective promotion of EP portfolio that will support the achievement of sales and profit in line with agreed individual country targets
  • Understand the market dynamics in the countries related to products, public health and the economic environment, to identify the possibilities to gain market share, alongside country market knowledge, Abbott EP knowledge & competitor activities
  • In line with EP Global marketing strategy, develop customer engagement programs to ensure long term strategic partnerships with existing and new Abbott EP customers
  • Analyse and provide suggested direction on all EP market information, KPIs, product unit forecasts, business reports and information flows as required
  • Use all analytical tools to create, shape and course-correct strategic and tactical plans
  • Work with RD & GMs to drive adoption and compliance with country teams to maximise share gain across the portfolio
  • Lead and execute regular voice of customer interactions, making adjustments as necessary to address evolving business requirements
  • Understand the customer training requirements aligned with Abbott marketing strategy and oversee the customer education programs related to the Abbott EP portfolio
  • Participate in the development and preparation of strategic and annual operating plan process.
  • From a marketing perspective, support the development of a high performance EP sales & clinical team, to include coaching and developing people
  • Role model Abbott values, show integrity, leadership strength and the ability to motivate others and be responsive to coaching
  • Ensure consistency between local marketing plans and relevant key elements from Corporate and EMEA marketing objectives and plans
  • Establish strategic marketing objectives to growth drivers, market share growth and profitability plans for products and services
  • Communicate marketing objectives, strategy, tactics and programs to manager, sales/FTE team and functional specialists as appropriate
  • Regularly monitor and adjust marketing expense budgets in accordance with evolving marketing plans and revenue forecasts
  • Collaborate cross-divisionally as required
What You’ll Need
  • Ideally, experience within the Electrophysiology medical device market, in a marketing management role or leadership role
  • Team leadership experience is preferred
  • Willing to travel within the region – expectation of the role is to be split 60% UK /Ireland and 40% Nordics/Baltics
  • A broad understanding of the cardiovascular market.
  • A proven track record in developing and maintaining relationships with KOLs
  • Superior communication skills, including the ability to work at all levels of the organization
  • Strong market analysis skills
  • Experience in management positions with non-clinical & clinical stakeholders, tender and commercial analysis experience preferred
  • Experience of delivering marketing and education programs to a relevant customer base
  • Ability to lead, coach, motivate and influence
  • Budgetary control experience and project management skills
  • Strategic, with a results orientation and excellent organisation skills
