Job description

Get ready for a career in marketing

Do you dream of working in the creative / marketing industry? Can you see yourself running great campaigns and making a splash in the world of social? How about project managing the next most talked-about TV ad?

It’s an exciting industry but it can be hard to break into.

Until now. Because Marketing Debuts, the apprenticeship scheme by The Industry Club is all about changing that.

Get hands on

Marketing Debuts wants to get keen individuals into happening agencies who’ll give you first-hand experience of the world of marketing. You’ll spend 12 months there, getting knee deep in stuff like community management where you’ll learn the secrets of social media or project management - managing campaigns and getting stuck in across delivery.

Agency life isn’t for the faint-hearted. It’s fast-paced, busy and varied. But there’ll never be a dull moment because you’ll get to work on exciting accounts and help teams do great work for their clients.

Get the best of all worlds

To set you up for success, your programme will start with an employability bootcamp. This is where you’ll learn about agency life and your role within it. You’ll also at this stage get to meet your fellow apprentices on The Industry Club scheme. They’ll be placed at other companies, yet still be part of your ’cohort’.

You’ll also have a buddy and/or mentor who will support you throughout the programme.

You’ll spend a fifth of your 12-month placement studying with The Industry Club. Here, you’ll learn the foundations of excellence in your role, which you can then apply to real life scenarios back at the agency. Marketing Debuts will give you the time and resources to hone your skills and put them into practice. It also means you’ll benefit from working closely with a leading agency (it could also be a major brand’s in-house marketing department), while being mentored by experienced trainers who specialise in their areas.

Plus, the skills you’ll gain over the apprenticeship are easily transferable, so they’ll set you up for a great career and a world of exciting options as you progress.

The Role

This opportunity will sit in a small but busy agency - you’ll be working across entertainment, food & drink and fashion brands with a strong focus on culture. The agency has offices in both London and Seoul and this role offers an amazing opportunity to travel with the team. They work on projects across cultural programming, communications and design.

They’re looking to hire an apprentice on the Level 4 Creative Project Management programme. You’ll be busy keeping the team going and leading on internal projects including website relaunches, content calendars, and office management.

This is a fab opportunity to get stuck in, they’re looking for someone super mature and driven with a desire to learn. You’ll be able to work on your own on your initiative and in a team.

Get creative and apply now

We’re more interested in your creativity and passion to work in an agency than your educational achievements. If you don’t already have them, we’ll work with you to get your English and Maths GCSEs during the programme. The assessment process is based on your motivation to succeed and creativity rather than educational background.

To apply, send us a copy of your CV with a cover letter telling us why this opportunity is for you. But don’t stop there. We’d also love to know what you think is a brilliant example of a brand’s activity or a campaign on social, TV or any other medium and why. How you share this with us completely up to you. It could be a video, a presentation, a written piece - the only criteria is that it’s creative! (Applications without a cover letter & task will not be accepted).

We have a high volume of applications but will endeavour to feedback as soon as we can.

We are committed to ensuring and supporting representation from all backgrounds across the creative industry, irrespective of race, religion, belief, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability or socio-economic background.

With this in mind, we welcome applications from all areas of the community. Please do get in touch and let us know if there is any additional support or reasonable adjustments we can cater for, to ensure our process and roles, fit your needs and creates a comfortable & enjoyable recruitment process. Please email us for any further support
