Overview:
As the Marketing & Communications Director, UK, you will be responsible for driving the marketing and communication activities in the UK.

The role has a main objective to increase the growth and impact of our brand, both internally and externally, through the delivery of high-value, targeted and relevant content and campaigns. Working very closely with the UK Leadership Team and the Global Marketing and Communications Leadership and Shared services, the Marketing & Communications Director, UK will ensure all activities are properly budgeted, planned and executed, and communicated to all stakeholders.

The Marketing & Communications Director, UK actively contributes to delivering and executing the annual plan (copy, social, marketing production, etc.), while managing the UK team (2 direct reports and freelancers).

Your day will look like this:
  • Develop and execute marketing and communications strategies and tactics to support the business objectives of Solotech in the UK
  • Develop a detailed budget & plan in liaison with the UK Managing Director, UK HR, and UK Division Leaders to deliver Company and client business objectives, communicating effectively within the marketing and communications team and all stakeholders
  • Manage UK Marketing and communications requests, operations, and calendars (Monday.com) ensuring delegation of activities, deadlines and prioritising tasks
  • In alignment with Corporate strategies, manage the social media and web infrastructure, content strategy and performance
  • In alignment with Corporate strategies and tools, develop marketing and communications reports & KPIs, monitor performance against KPIs and drive/manage performance and profitability to ensure achievement
  • In alignment with Corporate strategies, develop Employer Brand and internal communications that help generate overall engagement among employees and potential recruits.
  • Manage website content development and positioning in the UK market to drive traffic
  • Manage media ad placement investments
  • Manage the UK Marketing and communications team, budget and timeline
  • Actively participate and contribute to production and delivery (copywriting, marketing plans, ads production, coordination, etc.).
  • Continually review changes to the market, business trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan if necessary
  • Provide tools and materials to enable the sales team to function effectively
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Conduct market research studies
  • Negotiate with media agencies and secure agreements on the production of promotional material.
Your profile:

Level of education:

  • Educated to industry related degree level or equivalent

Work experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years role relevant experience (preferably within the audio-visual sector or similar industry).

Professional requirements:

  • Full, Clean UK Driving Licence and car owner
  • Right to work and remain in the UK

Required:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with people of all levels, including the ability to establish rapport and promote the ethos of the business to customers
  • Effective administration skills, together with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to use database software is essential
  • Effective and creative media skills, ability to create and maintain various social media accounts and platforms
  • Strong business acumen; with the ability to evaluate budgets and profit potential and work towards deadlines
  • Flexibility and adaptability, capable of multitasking, while remaining calm under pressure
  • Demonstrate an ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to drive, motivate and manage a small team
  • Ability to anticipate problems and find effective solutions aligned to the Company’s policies procedures.
  • Excellent standard of written and verbal English
  • A true team player who will roll up sleeves and support team when needed.
  • Any other tasks and duties relevant to the role
