Taskmaster Resources Ltd in Huddersfield, working with the University since 2014, are looking to appoint an experienced Marketing & Communications assistant, initially for 3 months. Immediate start available.

37 hours per week

Based on Queensgate Campus, Huddersfield, HD1 3DH

Job Purpose

The post reports to the Marketing and Recruitment Manager and will assist in the processes and procedures related to the delivery of the school’s marketing, and student recruitment activities, including assisting the production of online and offline marketing content, enquirer/applicant liaison, student recruitment events and other external relations activities.

Main Responsibilities:

1. To assist in the production, development, and maintenance of the school related web content via the University’s Content Management System (T4) in accordance with university marketing guidelines and procedures and accessibility regulations and other key legislation as appropriate.

2. To assist in the production and publication of marketing content, online and offline, for a variety of marketing and communications content, ensuring its suited to the target audiences and incorporates the University’s tone of voice, school key messages and the University’s brand.

3. To assist in the delivery of school events, for example Open Days, applicant visit days, graduation, public lectures etc. This will require some flexibility in working hours to include some evenings and weekends.

4. To support colleagues as part of subject-based marketing and student recruitment activities, this will include working closely with colleagues to assist in the development of presentations, copy, and commission imagery and/or, video content usually via liaison with external organisations. Also, the collation of examples of student work for use in marketing materials.

5. To support the analysis of and insight for web and digital marketing activities to inform planning, enable search engine optimisation and maximise online engagement both for internally and externally focussed content.

6. To assist in the monitoring and maintenance of the school presence on social media sites, using reporting tools to analyse, report on and make recommendations to maximise engagement.

7. To support the timely reporting of news events and the creation of staff/student profiles. 8. To assist with internal communications within the school (aimed at staff and/or students) through online and offline media, for example internal web content for students/newsletters, digests, and by ensuring consistency in messaging across channels.

8. To assist in inputting information to the University CRM system to capture relevant customer information; deliver audience targeted communications, track engagement and report on the effectiveness of activities.

9. To assist the Schools and Colleges Recruitment Co-ordinators to co-ordinate the pool of School Student Ambassadors and to support the related administrative processes.

10. To undertake any other duties pertinent to the grade of the post that might be requested at any time.
