What will you be doing?

The Margin Assurance team are looking for an inspirational technical people leader with a deep understanding of and practical application of data analytics. The role of Margin Assurance Manager is to lead and develop a team responsible for assuring the end-to-end P&L of Vodafone UK. We do this by using data to build automated assurance controls that provide insights across the business to identify, resolve and optimise the end to end operating processes. It’s an exciting time to join the team as we are embarking on a major industry transformation. We are using cloud to redesign the assurance operating model in partnership with local and group partners, upskilling our people in data science methodologies that enable us to deliver P&L quality and process methods that improve profits, revenues, cash and assure corporate risk. The role has overall responsibility for the product lifecycle process including Billing Validation, Platform Integrity, Test Call Generation and the transition from our current technologies to new effective and efficient assurance methodologies powered by Google Cloud.

• Responsible for management and personal development of 4 direct reports.
• Drive improvements, streamline existing processes and maximise efficiency of the team.
• Interface with the Global Margin Assurance community as required for specific projects.
• Building Data Scientist capability to enable Finance of the future (transition of existing toolset to cloud based technology and enhancement of the analytical skills within the team).
• Ownership of MA testing processes (FRITS and Rating Validation), working with both onshore and offshore teams to ensure an accurate and timely delivery of new propositions.
  

Who are we looking for?

• Previous line management experience.
• Knowledge of SQL, UNIX, Python and Excel.
• Knowledge of Big Data and GCP desirable.
• Previous experience of working within Finance desirable.
