Company description

Formed in 2010, the Company uses its proprietary laser direct write technology to manufacture glass-based 3D photonic integrated circuits for the telecommunications and data communications markets.

In 2017 the Company opened a 7,400 square feet facility including a research and development laboratory, and a state-of-the-art manufacturing area including cleanrooms in Livingston, UK. Optoscribe has built a world class engineering and operations team with many years of experience in direct laser inscription.

Job description

The position will be on a continental shift pattern working 4 on and 4 off dayshifts from 6am till 6pm.

  • Follow work instruction and protocols for manufacturing glass photonic devices.
  • Work alongside the team to escalate and deal with CAPA’s and change controls.
  • Work on continuous improvement
  • Setup and run the laser manufacture of optical integrated circuits.
  • Prepare and run the optical test process.
  • Perform calibration checks.
  • Clean, polish and wet etch glass die.
  • Record test data as required.
  • Inspection of optical components at different processing steps.
  • Prepare and pack finished product for shipping.
  • Record data in accordance with process steps.
