What You’ll Be Doing
You will be involved in the identification, development and deployment of innovative and game-changing manufacturing processes and will be required to work closely with the Integrated Project Team, the Producibility teams, facility support teams and the new facility projects teams, to ensure a coherent delivery of the manufacturing processes to support the current and future products within the current and new facilities.
- Assess and establish current manufacturing capabilities as a baseline for improvement.
- Develop, implement new manufacturing equipment which can meet the requirements for current and new facilities.
- Identify opportunities for new manufacturing capabilities to support commodity and product strategies including the development of the business case for the acquisition of the new technology as required.
- Integrate Capability Acquisition, New Product Introduction and New Factory activities, buying off new capabilities.
- Work with the Manufacturing Engineering Commodity Lead and Manufacturing Process Owners to drive improved manufacturing processes that are fit for purpose.

- Professionally qualified Engineer (BEng) or physical sciences degree with engineering experience, and/or equivalent experience and a proven track record.
- Experience in one, or a few, of the varied manufacturing processes that this role will be exposed to, including: Joining Processes (Laser & Braze), Material Removal Processes (5 Axis Milling, 5 Axis Turning etc.), Manufacturing with Inconel , Stainless Steels and Aluminium Alloys. Measurement Technologies (metrology, Non-Destructive Techniques, etc.), although other transferable skills may be considered, CAD/CAM & a good general knowledge of machine controls.
- Experience & ability to demonstrate ‘delivery of change’ in manufacturing environments.
- Can demonstrate typical key behaviours: proactive, problem solver, driven & positive with a “can-do” attitude.
