ProTech are currently looking for a Technical Sales Engineer with the focus on Emissions and Test Automation to work for their client based in Northampton.

The role will be required to manage a small group of customers assigned to them by providing in-depth technical support and custom solutions in preparation of customer proposals and system specifications. It also carries responsibility to assist customers, when required, in the investigation of operational issues. This work to be carried out as a customer-funded consultancy, leading to identification, implementation of corrective actions or revised procedures, bespoke solutions, as needed.

The role is offered on flexible basis and can be worked remotely after probation period. During probation time candidates are expected to attend office 3 days a week to undergo product training.

Technical Sales Engineer Requirements:

* Candidates need to hold degree in Automotive engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

* Candidate will have good understanding for Automotive Emission regulations and engine emission testing.

* Candidate will be effective communicator and have good presentation skills.

* Candidates will be open to travel nationally & internationally.

Technical Sales Engineer Responsibilities:

* As a Technical Sales engineer you will be responsible to liaise with other departments to ensure all enquiries from the identified customers are handled timely and efficiently.

* As a Technical Sales Engineer you will be responsible to to prepare quotations in response to requests from customers. This will involve discussing the technical specifications with the customer concerned to ensure that the equipment being quoted meets the customer’s requirements.

* You will be responsible to advise customers on the equipment best suited to meet the task they have in hand and where standard equipment is not suitable, liaise with other departments/locations in order to submit outline specifications for approval to the Automotive Sales Manager.

* As Technical Sales Engineer you will be responsible where standard equipment does not meet customer needs, work with the Project Management Department, C-TAS, Service and HD3 Engineering groups to outline specifications of custom designed equipment and submit for approval .
