Job Description

  • Operate and maintain lathes and turning equipment.
  • Follow blueprints and engineering plans to produce components.
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering & Manufacturing team to improve production processes.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations within the workplace.
  • Assist in the training of new staff.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the manufacturing process.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Turner should have:

  • A strong educational background in Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of operating and maintaining lathes and turning equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
  • A team-oriented mindset and a positive attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
