Manager: Infrastructure, People Advisory Services

At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

Description:

Sustainable infrastructure will play a critical role in shaping the UK’s social and economic recovery from the pandemic, and is seen as a core enabler of the government’s ‘Build Back Better’ strategy. Building a career in this sector offers diverse opportunities on some of the UK’s most important and iconic projects. Our sustainable infrastructure practice is recruiting new team members to join People Advisory Services to lead and deliver people consulting services with humans at the centre.

The market opportunity:

Advising clients on their most complex sustainable infrastructure challenges, is a core focus for EY, and something that spans multiple sectors and competencies. Our team are focused on the following core areas across:
  • The initiation and successful delivery of transformation programmes, tackling our clients’ most pressing and complex initiatives
  • Sustainable infrastructure to support the government’s green infrastructure plan and ambition to deliver net zero to the UK
  • The involvement in early stage, large scale infrastructure project development activities, as well as ongoing support, to drive more successful infrastructure project delivery

We are focused on growing our sustainable infrastructure programme focus and large scale transformation delivery across our wide range of clients within a variety of sectors, including Government, Transport, Power & Utilities, Oil & Gas and Telecommunications. We want people who are passionate about sustainability and climate change and who are keen to help clients realise decarbonization and energy transition ambitions.

We are looking to grow our overall presence across the infrastructure sector and be involved in the design, development and delivery of significant programmes under the recently published National Infrastructure Strategy, and also the Ten Point Green Energy Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution.

As a Senior Manager, you will help shape, sell and ultimately deliver engagements across industries, managing teams of between 6 - 10+ consultants and being the first port of call for our clients, with exposure to senior client stakeholders up to C-suite level. You will not only be developing the recommendations that will ultimately be implemented by our clients, but you will also be a key contributor to the growth of EY’s business and our sustainability proposition, by identifying potential opportunities and helping develop new offers and thought leadership to take to market.

Why we need people consultants

The people agenda is a key focus area for our clients in the infrastructure sector. Our clients need capable leaders to deliver complex capital projects, they need the ability to convene a broad set of stakeholders across industry and government, they need to develop future skills to become more digital and sustainable in the way they work, and they need to transform at pace.

We need people consultants with passion for and experience in the infrastructure sector to help our clients solve their biggest workforce challenges.

Our People Advisory Services (PAS) team works together with a cross-competency team to deliver human-centred transformation to our infrastructure clients. PAS is a global network that delivers people services worldwide. Within the UK, we have over 1000 people consultants advising clients across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.

We are growing fast and looking for those who share our values, believe in the importance of the people agenda and have experience in digital and workforce transformation, change and learning, culture and leadership and HR to join our PAS team in the sustainable infrastructure practice.
