Management Consultant - Global Programme Advisory (PgMA)

The Management Consultant role is to shape AECOM’s Programme Advisory services through the development and implementation of our core Programme Advisory services , helping to drive the growth of our programme management business and partnering with clients to transform the way they deliver major infrastructure programmes. We are keen to hear from applicants who have acquired experience with a management consultancy who are now looking to grow these skills further within a global and diverse environment.

Key tasks:
+ Develop the global AECOM Programme Advisory services and their methodology, based on the core set of identified client needs throughout the lifecycle of major programmes

+ Develop a set of core skills for our Programme Advisory and Programme Management practitioners

+ Develop the community of Programme Advisory practitioners and embed core consulting skills and Programme Advisory methodology

+ Support client facing Programme Advisory discussions where appropriate, in consultation with Regional Businesses

+ Provide Programme Advisory support to bid teams for major pursuits

+ Support Programme Management and Programme Advisory engagements, providing direction and coaching for delivery teams

+ Contribute Programme Advisory lessons learned and best practice to the Programme Management knowledge base

Minimum Requirements

+ BA Degree in a related field

+ Demonstrable practical experience in a client-facing management consultancy role

+ Some experience in a business transformation, change management or delivery project environment in Defence, Government, Infrastructure or Engineering domains

+ Expert level knowledge practitioner of consultancy tools – both individual core skills and business change methodologies including Target Operating Model

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Expertise in applying consultancy tools and techniques to different sectors and clients

+ Excellent formal and personal communication skills and able to demonstrate a high degree of cognitive and emotional empathy in dealing with colleagues and clients

+ Expertise in producing documents and other material that tell compelling stores and can convey complex messages simply

+ Skilled relationship manager, capable of navigating complex internal structures

Preferred Qualifications

Background in Engineering, Design but this is not mandatory for the role
