We have immediate opportunities to provide support workers to provide vital support to people with a learning disability through this tough time. We’re recruiting full time, part time permanent and bank Support Workers across the UK now!

What does a Support Worker do?

As a Support Worker in the community you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.

In this role you will be working with a variety of people and the support will vary, however our focus is always on person centred support tailored to each individual.

The role includes:

  • Supporting people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, house work, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
  • Excellent communication skills/relationship building – supporting the person to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
  • Community & Social Inclusion- Supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and Social events to promote life skills and individuality.
  • Personal care for some of the people we support - helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom.

We are looking for someone to join us on a permanent, part time basis (30 hours a week). You must be willing to work flexibly as and when required throughout the weekend at weekends including Bank Holidays. The shift pattern is varied and could be a couple of hours to support with housework and/or shopping or longer of periods of time which, Covid permitting, could include leisure pursuits. Whilst you will be primarily working in the community a willingness to undertake sleep-ins would be an advantage.
