, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE - Multiskilled Maintenance Technician - Mechanical Bias

Our client is a world class, award winning, long established and growing manufacturing business, with strong and sustained investment in people, capital and plant. Due to continued growth, they are recruiting a mechanically Biased Maintenance Technician.

The successful candidate will carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment, and work as part of an established shift team. The role is mechanically biased, but some electrical maintenance experience would be advantageous.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Maintenance Technician - Mechanical Bias
  • To provide a professional, high quality multi-skilled (electro-mechanical) engineering service following adequate training on the equipment.
  • Responsible for the mechanical / electrical maintenance of production lines and manufacturing site in accordance with product standards and specifications, to achieve required outputs.
  • Ensure that all operations on equipment are performed to a professional, high quality standard.
  • Inform and update Engineering and Production Management with regards to line availability following breakdowns etc.
  • Work closely as part of a team in conjunction with Production and Quality departments.
  • Ensure that equipment is properly maintained, and identified faults are reported and logged so that correction action can be taken.
  • Assist with the planned preventative maintenance programmes.
  • Ensure all tools and parts are removed from equipment, and area is cleared / cleaned prior to production line re-start.
  • Recording of maintenance activities / resolutions in shift log for future reference.
  • Maintain skills / knowledge.
  • Training and working with line operatives to improve setting skills where required.
Qualifications

, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES Multiskilled Maintenance Technician - Mechanical Bias

Essential
  • Qualified to ONC or HNC level - Time served/apprenticed in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Mechanical bias with PPM and reactive experience
  • Ability to work unsupervised under own initiative / Able to work effectively to deadlines /Self-motivated and enthusiastic / IT literate / Competent with All Microsoft software.
Desirable

/Useful But Not Essential
  • Experience of Pipe fitting / Welding / Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
NB: Hours 40 PW - Two Shift Rotation - 06.00 - 1400 / 1400 - 2200 + OT
