Maintenance Technician

Temporary role: expected Duration 2/3 months with potential for permanent position

Salary: £15 to £17 Per Hour

Saturdays paid at time an a half Sundays paid at double times

Shift Pattern: Working a 4 on 4 off rota 12:00pm to 20:00pm

Must be Flexible due to business requirements

Purpose of the job:

Working on a fully Automated ( SCADA ) warehouse facility, providing maintenance support to ensure the smooth running of the operation.

Accountabilities for the role:

  • Provide first line maintenance support to the business. Electrical, Mechanical and Multi-skilled fitters or maintenance Engineers will be considered for this position with a focus on a crossover of skills.
  • To provide Maintenance support within the department and to have direct responsibility for the maintenance of all items of plant.
  • Maintain a safe working environment throughout the unit by working to ensure that all engineering activity is carried out to the appropriate Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and that appropriate control measures are in place. To develop a safe system of work.
  • Co-ordination of all Planned Maintenance activities, to maintain machine availability through effective planned and breakdown maintenance.
  • To recommend and affect plant modifications for plant immobilisation procedures to ensure safe working practices, to improve plant availability, performance and quality.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

Work experience (From jobs, functions, industries etc.)

Must have basic mechanical or electrical skills , be able to demonstrate working in industrial maintenance environments.

Must have own tools

Be prepared to travel to different locations / sites if business requires
