Key Information:

  • £37,610.60 (£34,501 per annum with £3,109.60 shift allowance)
  • 1.5x Overtime (Weekdays - Saturday Midday)
  • 2x Overtime (Saturday Midday – Sunday)
  • 3x Bank Holiday payments
  • Holidays 25 days plus 8 bank holidays
  • Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week
  • Shifts Pattern Mornings (06:00-14:00) & Afternoons (14:00-22:00)
  • Callout Fees 4-hour Payment (0-4 hrs), 8-hour payment (4-8 hrs)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhering to Company Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures.
  • Executing planned preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Conducting maintenance and repairs on equipment during breakdown situations.
  • Ensuring impeccable levels of housekeeping and cleanliness while working.
  • Collaborating with various departments across the organization to meet production priorities.

Skills Required:

  • Strong background in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and fault-finding.
  • Advantageous to have experience in hydraulic/pneumatic controls.
  • Basic level of PLC Programming.
  • Some familiarity with Robots would be beneficial.
  • Electrical experience is advantageous, but not mandatory.
  • General operating knowledge of health and safety.
  • Welding experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with permit-to-work systems.
  • Experience in Machining/Milling/turning would be beneficial.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Brings a multi-skilled background with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Completed a relevant apprenticeship.
  • Hold essential qualifications such as BTEC National or City & Guilds and HNC.
  • Possesses a self-motivated and proactive approach.
  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of the role effectively.
