Brightwork’s specialist client are recruiting a Maintenance Technician for their Carnoustie facility.

Reporting to the Site Leader you will regularly review Maintenance Plans with Team Leader to ensure compliance with inspection & testing regime for site. Accountabilities Ensure compliance of the Inspection and Testing regime is completed as per Maintenance Plan Ensure that all maintenance operations on site are maintained to the highest level of safety and environmental standards on a day-to-day basis. Ensure completion of all relevant maintenance requests and reports as per requirements. Manage the online maintenance system to ensure all preventative and reactive maintenance tasks are completed as per timeframes. Ensure that stock levels are maintained and controlled within the online management system so that stock of critical spare parts are not depleted and are always available. Manage the control of contractors on site, including permit and risk assessment / method statement compliance, ensuring that works are carried out to the highest standards of health and safety. Source quotes for new orders and raise PO’s as required, whilst ensuring cost optimisation. Qualifications & Experience HNC in Engineering Practice/Mechanical Engineering Current Mech COMPEX certification/ticket Modern Apprenticeship completed NVQ level 3 - Mechanical ECITB (or similar) Candidates must be time served and have experience of industrial mechanical control systems. Duties will include carrying out maintenance routines, first line troubleshooting, project installations, equipment refurbishments and calibrations. You must be reliable with excellent communication skills and may be required to work over-time (paid) and/or potentially be called out in the event of plant breakdown. Knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems such as Agility or Maximo would be advantageous. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking company.
