Job ProfileA great opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Operative to join a leading construction product manufacturer located near to the Bath area. The company’s consistent innovation allows them to be an industry leader within their niche market. They specialise in a range of architectural glass, partitioning systems, fire-rated products and doors.Due to continuous growth they require a Maintenance Operative to join their team. The main purpose for the position is preventative maintenance on machines and equipment, responding to emergency machine break downs. Involvement with installation and movements of existing machines. Support with the overhaul and repair of machines and equipment ensuring machines and equipment on site are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose.Maintenance Operative Position Overview
  • Carry out planned maintenance activities in line with machine and facility maintenance schedule.
  • Support installation of new machines and equipment
  • Support with the overhaul, upkeep, and repair of all plant machinery on site
  • Support with the upkeep of site facilities and building maintenance.
  • Fault finding, testing, and the removal or adjustment of existing fittings fixtures and parts.
  • Maintaining effective communication - keeping management and relevant parties aware and seeking advice and assistance when required.
  • Any other duty as may be required with the grading of the post and the skill of the post holder.
  • Rotating shift, week one: 5:45am - 1:45pm, week two: 1:30pm - 9:30pm, Monday to Friday, including working/providing cover for some Saturdays that are required in line with the role.
