Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager with extensive experience in major upstream oil and gas projects. This role will be supporting one of our subsea projects based in our Staines office.

Purpose of the role:

  • Responsible for planning, scheduling and executing the preventive & corrective maintenance for all surface production facilities of the asset
  • Manage technical integrity & process safety for all surface facilities by assessing and identifying process safety risk and major accidents hazards and implementation of risk mitigation measures
  • Responsible for the execution of engineering modifications and small investment projects
  • Responsible for maintenance & integrity reporting within the asset
  • Responsible for the execution of surface maintenance activities
  • Accounts for material and spare parts management for maintenance and small projects
  • Accountable for ensuring Major Accident Risks are managed hence maintaining and protecting client reputation

Key responsibilities:

In Project Phase
  • To support Operations Readiness to prepare for operations for maintenance and integrity of the asset.
  • To review project design and develop maintenance activities and plans, schedules.
  • Support the OPEX build
  • Identifies all operational spares and requirements to maintain operations spares ready for use.
  • Participates in technical reviews (i.e. Peer Reviews, Design Reviews, HAZOP, HAZID, Risk Assessment, IGR, FAT etc); prepare technical reports to describe and demonstrate decisions and analysis results, as requested by the Head of Operations;
  • Accountable for the development and delivery of the maintenance activities and schedules for the development.
  • Accountable for the development all maintenance, manuals, work plans ready for operations, including uploading of work plans into SAP PM.
  • Accountable for implementation of Technical Integrity and Process Safety policy
  • Accountable for implementation of conditioning monitoring systems
  • Accountable for establishing spares, preservation routines and warehousing requirements.
  • Accountable for identifying and optimizing operational sparesAccountable for implementing reliability conditioning montoring processes, and develop integrity governance for ready for operations
  • Accountable for developing preventative manintenace program,
  • Develop the Maintenance Services Management contracting strategies for operations, aglining with company contracting strategies.
  • Develops long term and annual planning activities regarding facilities maintenance and technical integrity/ process safety
  • Develops long term and annual bottom-up budgets for facilities maintenance and technical integrity/ process safety

In Operations Phase
  • Manages Maintenance and Integrity Services;
  • Accountable for KPI for maintenance services.
  • Accountable for Process Safety and Technical Integrity management of the Asset’s surface facilities
  • Accountable for the identification and verification of Safety Critical Maintenance for the Asset’s surface facilities
  • Accountable for the planning and execution of the Asset’s maintenance activities
  • Accountable for compliance of the Asset’s equipment to international regulations as applicable
  • Accountable for spares inventory management
  • Acts as local focal point for Maintenance Service Management
  • Acts as local Process Safety and Technical Integrity knowledge centre for Surface Facilities;
  • Implements guidelines, processes, procedures and work instructions for operation and maintenance and ensures related data management;
  • Implements standards and procedures for Surface Facilities Operations and Integrity in compliance with Client’s HSSE standard and guidelines;
  • Responsible for the implementation of Technical Integrity and Process Safety policy, strategy, standards, guidelines, processes and procedures in the Asset
  • Responsible for the maintenance and further development of SAP PM in the Asset
  • Acts as technology and process safety knowledge centre in the Asset
  • Performs cost control of delegated surface budget and provides regular budget vs. planning estimates;
  • Manages planning and scheduling for execution of services (up to 1 year) and cost analysis according to Service Portfolio;
  • Performs contract management including warranty management for maintenance services;
  • Coordinates maintenance activities from technical and reliability view point and carry out technical analysis for improvement of equipment service factor (RCA, RCM, MTBF increase solutions etc.);
  • Ensures quality control and supervision of maintenance services execution;
  • Accoutable for all planned and unplanned maintenance activities
  • Ensures Performance Management related to execution and improvement actions for all Maintenance services;
  • Is responsible for the prioritization and allocation of budget for Surface Facilities, Integrity, Conformity and Security Programs; Aligns integrity program with legal requirements;
  • Responsible implementation and ongoing verification of process Safety for Surface Facilities;
  • Ongoing Management of Risk Based Inspection and Pipeline Integrity Management System;
  • Mid to long term steps to be taken to prevent and mitigate Major Accident Risks;
  • Identifies and implements Operations and Maintenance improvement measures;
  • Accounts for technical compliance and acts as interface to legislative authorities for certifications and authorizations for Surface Facilities;
Skills / Qualifications:
  • University degree in Mechanical/Petroleum or Electrical Engineering;
  • Previous experience in oil and gas/petrochemical industry;
  • Very good knowledge of principles, strategies, working methods within maintenance and logistics;
  • Knowledge of Best practices in Integrity management and Process Safety;
  • Experience in Field Management (production operations, facility engineering, asset management, HSSE, managerial interrelationships, interaction with authorities, legal requirements);
  • Strategic thinking and holistic understanding from Corporate level to local management level;
  • Skills in leadership, people management and staff motivation;
  • Planning, organisation, coordination and control, communication and negotiation skills;
  • Problem solving orientation, collaboration;
  • Good command of English (spoken and written);
    • Experience in working in a shared services organisation represents an advantage
    • Experience in the energy business represents an advantage
    • Experience in rolling out and operating Microsoft Office 365 and Cloud Workplace technologies
