Maintenance Engineer, Huddersfield

Lubrizol are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to work within a small engineering team at the Huddersfield manufacturing plant.
You will schedule, execute, and record both planned preventative routine maintenance and breakdown maintenance activities. As the maintenance engineer you be involved in the scoping and execution of capital projects, in continuous improvement initiatives and the supervision of contractors when on site. This is a days-based role.
This is a broad role with plenty of scope for development. We are willing to put the time and effort into right candidate with both internal and external training to advance them in their role. The role would ideally suit an electrically biased engineer, but we are open to mechanical or control biased also.

In This Role You Will

Provide maintenance of the electrical/control systems and mechanical hardware to ensure continued optimum operation of the plant. Understand HSEQ Standards & requirements. Ensuring safe working systems and practices are followed using permit to work and lock out tag out systems Ensure maintenance work is accurately recorded Have involvement in the scope and execution of capital projects Provide facilities maintenance Be involved in continuous improvement initiatives

To Be Successful You Will

Ideally be apprentice trained in electrical/control engineering (multiskilled i.e. mechanical knowledge would advantageous) Possess an HNC, ONC, City and guilds in relevant engineering subject or can demonstrate equivalent knowledge Have previous experience of working in chemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar process manufacturing environment City & Guilds CG2395, CG2382 would be advantageous but not essential Have COMPEX units 1 to 6 and 12. This would be advantageous but not essential Have experience of fault finding and diagnostic problem solving
