Position Summary


This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing team whose focus is to support all UK Factories with the replacement/redesign of parts and components on their unique machinery, using top of the range software. This role is only being done in 2 other markets and the UK wishes to harness this initiative and deliver a robust strategy of process improvement and extensive cost savings to each brand and location within the market.

We are seeking 2 Additive Manufacturing Maintenance Engineers with a hunger for Total Improvement Maintenance and a passion for engineering.

A day in the life of an Additive Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer

Reporting to the market Maintenance Manager you are expected to To support and participate in the design and manufacture of components to support the factory asset maintenance programmes aimed to eliminate unplanned stops and optimise maintenance cost and as a result increase asset intensity. Working as an additive manufacturing technician you will be responsible for designing, reverse engineering and manufacturing components to support the factory maintenance teams. This includes the operation of 3D printing equipment and post processing equipment.


This will be achieved through 3 key aspects to the role


Manage Existing Assets – Operation & Maintenance:


  • Operation of printing equipment.
  • Maintenance of printing equipment, following existing SOPs.
  • Manufacture of components to scheduled plan.
  • Post processing / Hand finishing of components as required.


Spare Parts Management:
  • Track raw material stock, ensure it is accurately tracked and maintained.
  • Track stock levels of in-house components are maintained, create production requests when required.
  • Distribution of manufactured components to UK sites as required.

Engineering Design:
  • Support the factories with the reverse engineering of existing components.
  • Support the factories with the design of new components.
  • Create both 2D and 3D engineering drawings of components as required.
  • Ensure appropriate version control and file management of engineering drawings.


What will make you successful?

The people we are looking for will have but not limited too
  • Proven track record with AutoCAd
  • Creating Drawings from existing components and the ability to change it into a drawing
  • NVQ Mechanical Engineering – Level 3 or equivalent
  • Proven Track record with SAP
