About The Role

Due to the continued success and expansion of Avonline Networks we have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Supervisor to join our ever expanding dynamic team in Bristol.

Avonline Networks deliver service excellence on a nationwide basis. From the national Fibre networks which millions of homes and businesses rely upon every day, to the infrastructure that delivers the latest technology to Multi-Dwelling Units (MDU’s) across the UK. Providing installation and maintenance of infrastructure to MDU’s across the UK for public sector, social housing, and private landlords, which include the latest technology, FTTP and IRS.

The role & responsibilities:

Your role will be to take ownership of your controlled contracts within the depot with a wide range of activities undertaken from all inhouse processes, Maintain and focus on the depot safety and also stock control, Goods Inward / Outwards, Serving inhouse operatives as well as our wide range of sub-contractors, General warehouse housekeeping indoors / outdoors. We are currently updating all systems with hand held technology so is an ideal time to join. There will also be occasions when you will use a company vehicle to make remote deliveries and could be called on to potentially support other locations within the business.

You will:

  • Manage a small team
    • Have a long term vision of best practices
    • Control stock & maintain regular stock check frequency
    • Goods Inwards / Outwards
    • Manage Vehicle Cleaning / De kitting as and when required
    • Control all warehouses / yard
    • Manage stock deliveries to site
    • Complete and maintain various audits within the warehouse
    • Adhoc Duties

What we need from you.

  • Hands on approach with a positive attitude & aptitude
  • Driving Licence (Max 6 points)
  • Good level of man management skills
  • IT Literate
  • Counterbalance / Bendi / Flexi ideal but not essential as training will be given as essential for the role (Within 3 years)
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
  • Self-motivated and thrives in busy working environment
  • Able to work unsupervised when required
