Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Logistics Coordinator, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
  • This role involves chartering and management of term and spot hire Marine Support Vessels (for example Emergency Rescue and Recovery Vessels, Platform Supply Vessels, Guard Vessels, and Safety Standby Vessels).
  • Coordinate the loading and unloading of supply vessels
  • Manage the allocation of logistics costs to correct cost centres
  • Report on monthly logistics performance and costs, identifying opportunities for performance enhancement and cost reduction;
  • Raise Purchase Requisitions, and Service Entry Sheets in SAP in support of Logistics Contracts and Services;
  • Support and implement strategies to improve efficiency of logistics services and contracts;
  • To actively supervise supply base service providers, optimising resources and reducing cost in a safe and sustainable manner in support of the Company’s business requirements.
  • To ensure that personnel handling materials at the shore base are trained and qualified for their work
  • To ensure that all lifting equipment is certified according to company requirements and Statutory Regulations
  • To ensure that all chemicals and hazardous materials are packed labelled and handled according to company requirements and Statutory Regulations
  • Participate in Logistics ER "on call"" rota’s as required
  • To supervise and support aviation services for the offshore operations.
  • To perform helicopter booking of company and contractor personnel and ensure that they are in possession of valid survival training and health certificate prior to departure
  • To maintain an accurate log of all helicopter flights including departure/ arrival times.
  • Attend performance review meetings, operations/campaign planning meetings, budget meetings etc. to establish logistics requirements
  • Administer Logistics contracts, developing and reviewing contract specific KPI’s, reviewing supplier performance and provide feedback to Contract Owner and stakeholders to support performance reviews
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Educated to degree level and/or relevant experience as a logistic coordinator with both relevant offshore and onshore experience
  • Experienced in marine operations planning
  • Competent user of business systems, SAP, MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Vantage system training and experience
