Due to company growth, our client based just outside north MK, is looking for a Logistics Controller to join their very busy team on a permanent basis. The company look after the movement of vehicles for a variety of customers, providing a collection service and handover of new vehicles.Monday-Friday 40h working week between 08:00-18:00 with 1hr for lunch £26,000pa 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays) Access to on site gym Access to on site restaurant This particular role is within the Allocations team so would include;Liaising with the drivers over the phone Problem solving Monitoring job/driver progress and assist with any issues, liasing with all parties involved Developing strong working relationships with the transport team Training and development of your skillsResponsibility for On-Call out of hours contact (on a rota system) The ideal candidate would be pro-active and organised, have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), ability to work calmly under pressure, IT literate and with an interest or some past experience within the transport industry.
