Job content

Manage and coordinate transport between Suppliers, manufacturing plants, Warehouses and the customers according to quality standards, at agreed lead-times and negotiated freight rates

Non-standard shipments

  • Look for appropriate solutions within agreed delivery times and costs
  • Plan and assign transports
  • Update changes in delivery dates and delivery conditions in SAP
  • Control, analyze, unblock and organize shipments for special orders
  • Manage urgent re-routing of shipments resulting from changes in manufacturing sourcing plant or customer order cancellation
  • Arrange and follow up customs clearances as required

Standard shipments

  • Monitor log application with regard to transport order receipt and amendment
  • Daily control of SAP Outbound Deliveries to ensure on-time loading and shipment from manufacturing plants
  • ·Interface to Carriers, Customer Service, Inventory Management and Sales colleagues

Requirements

  • Education level: minimum high school
  • Proven work experience in a transport or logistics environment (UK & EU)
  • Proven import/export experience, knowledge of customs clearance processes
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred
  • Good skills in MS Office tools
  • Language skills: good knowledge of English (German & French an advantage)
  • Able to work independently as well as in team.

  • import and export: 5 years (preferred)
  • SAP: 5 years (preferred)
