A rare vacancy has arisen for a Locum Lead Doctor, a consultant or Associate Specialist to join our team in the Contraception Service based in Bromley, Kent. We are offering a fixed term contract or Contract for services for the next 6 months (up to the 31.3.2022).To fulfil the role of Locum Clinical Lead for Bromley Healthcare (BHC) Contraception and Reproductive Health Service (C&RH), providing complex level care for patients with sexual and reproductive healthcare needs. The individual will be required to play an active role in the general workload of the department while having a commitment to teaching and training of other staff.The service is commissioned to provide a full and comprehensive range of contraceptive services for anyone attending the service either referred by other health care teams or predominantly as self-referral. This includes but is not limited to: short acting and long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) and consultations for medically complex contraception needs.We are a small team of specialist nurses, clinic assistants and Doctors providing an excellent service to the local community.To provide evidence based clinical leadership for the service.To provide advice and treatment regarding contraception and sexual health, including complex contraception.To provide support and advice to BHC C&RH nurses working as Independent Practitioners and issuing medication to Patient Group Directions (PGDs) within C&RH clinicsBromley Healthcare is a community interest company providing a wide range of services including community nursing services such as district nursing, health visiting to specialist nurses, as well as therapy services for children, young people and adults.
