About UsSSB Law are leaders in dispute resolution specialising in Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury, Professional Negligence Japanese Knotweed Litigation, claims for Defective Cavity Wall Insulation, Data Protection, Financial Misselling, Timeshare Misselling, Housing Disrepair and many other innovative ranges of Commercial Dispute Resolution.The RoleTo manage a Loss Recovery caseload in accordance with company processes and procedures; providing an efficient, quality legal service whilst contributing towards operational goals and objectives.Primary Duties- To pro-actively and effectively manage a caseload; ensuring exemplary file management at all times and in accordance with prescribed Service Level Agreements.- To work as part of a team to answer incoming calls and provide cover for other team members as required.- To litigate effectively in accordance with internal processes and procedures.- To provide legal advice and assistance to clients in line with their best interests and within the relevant sphere of expertise.- To seek authority in line with defined authority levels for all necessary key stages of case management.- To achieve individually defined targets and contribute to team and operational objectives.- To ensure accuracy of all external communications at all times; ensuring guidance issought as and when appropriate.- To attend and communicate with clients, courts and barristers as required.- To ensure a current, working knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the CPR and areas of practice at all times.- To undertake any training necessary to perform the role effectively
- Excellent technical skills in the field of litigation, an ability to make a considered judgement call and a proven history of meeting and exceeding client expectations.- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently with both staff and members of the public- English GCSE (grade 9-1, A-C or Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent)- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications- Proven ability to plan, manage and prioritise workloads- Flexible approach to working depending on the needs and priorities of the department- Capability to undertake all assignments in a timely manner
- 23 days annual leave (rising to 25 days after 3 years’ service and then to 27 days at 5 years’ service)
