Ready to make them yours? Join us on this journey.

About the role:

In the role you will manage the introduction and embedment of such changes within the business and ensure they are compliantly deployed by reviewing the implications and management of revised changes upon implementation. If required, make recommendations to the affected departments to ensure the changes to operational safety standards are met on an ongoing basis. This requires the maintenance of close working relations with other Northern departments and Network Rail or any outside Rail consultants employed by Northern.

Acting as the key interface between Northern and Network Rail Project Team on operational arrangements for TRU development, including changes to signalling interfaces and support the development of new driving practices in relation to ETCS (European Train Control System) introduction.

  • Developing risk assessments and justifications for operational changes.
  • Managing introduction and compliance of operational changes.

  • Liaising with Network Rail and managing interface for operational arrangements.

About you:

You will have practical experience in a train crew grade or in-depth working knowledge of such roles and must have or be able to hold a driving Cab Pass indicating competence in train driving (Green pass).
