Lawyer - Litigation Team - Newbury £38 000 - £70 000Our client is a forward thinking, innovative and friendly law firm which has grown substantially.We have an opportunity for lawyers with a passion for contested probate to join our established litigation team.The role would suit a candidate able to undertake a variety of general litigation matters, but who wishes to specialise in contested probate. Applications are welcomed by both junior lawyers who are looking to develop their contested probate skills and experienced lawyers in this field to run their own caseload, work closely with a Partner on complex matters and assist with the business development and support of the junior members of the team.DUTIESTo undertake fee earning work and to meet individual and team targets.* To always act in a professional manner and to be the client’s ambassador.* To actively promote marketing and business development for their specialist discipline and the Firm generally.* To carry out fee earning work efficiently and to exercise high standards of client care and compliance.* To keep the client regularly informed as to progress and to ensure client satisfaction.* To comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors.* To comply with the firm’s policies as set out in the Office Manual.* To keep up to date with training and developments in the law.* To work cooperatively with others and develop and maintain good working relationships within the firm.* To ensure the confidentiality of all the firm’s and client’s documents at all times.PERSONAL QUALITIES* Demonstrate integrity, accountability, respect, and commitment to the client* Hands on approach with proven ability to work under pressure* Enthusiasm for and proven record of business development* Demonstrate excellence in managing all functions of this role* Be a proven team player* Interpersonal skills sufficient to challenge, support, advise and influence others* Ability to work with others at all levels of the FirmACCOUNTABILITY* You will be accountable to Managing Partner (or such other lawyers as may be designated from time to time).* You are ultimately accountable to the Managing Partner for your quality of work and actions to the Partnership for your work on behalf of the Firm.If you looking to join a strong well establish legal team with great growth opportunities, this could be the position for you.
